Helping you communicate with clarity and impact

I offer executive speechwriting and storytelling for changemakers, corporate leaders, and organisations who need help connecting with their audience.

Over the past years, I have worked with Secretaries of State, CEOs and even a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. Together we created speeches that were delivered in parliaments and palaces, global forums and high-profile conferences.

I spent over a decade as an on-air reporter and presenter at the BBC, learning how audiences listen, how to tell a story that captures attention and how to craft the perfect headline.

I understand the pressure of public speaking and the scrutiny of stakeholders. It’s why I can craft messages that aren’t just eloquent, but are strategically sound and emotionally intelligent.

Whether you are working towards a particular event or need broader support in building your narrative voice and thought leadership, I can help you clarify complex ideas and tell your story with impact.

About Lucy

Lucy Woolliscroft has written for and advised senior leaders at the highest levels of government and global advocacy.

She began her career at the BBC, reporting for TV, Radio, and Online. She worked across the globe, covering high-profile stories for network news. As a presenter on the BBC World Service and BBC Radio 4, Lucy gained an unparalleled insight into what makes a good story and the skills to turn technical jargon into engaging copy.

Working in Whitehall as Head of Editorial and Head Speechwriter for a busy UK government department, Lucy worked closely with Secretaries of State and their junior ministerial teams to communicate government policy and react to national crises.

She then moved to work as Director of Communications for a Nobel Peace Prize winner, where she drove media campaigns, created comms products to influence global policy, and developed messaging to ensure the NGO delivered on its vital mission.

Passionate about the power of storytelling, she now brings that experience to her consulting work. She can help you cut through the noise, connect with the right audiences, and carry your vision into action.

The best arguments in the world won’t change a person’s mind. The only thing that can do that is a good story.
